Assemblymember Wallis Celebrates the Palm Springs Air Museum as 2024 California Nonprofit of the Year

Sacramento, CA – Assemblymember Greg Wallis is proud to announce the Palm Springs Air Museum as the 2024 California Nonprofit of the Year for Assembly District 47. This prestigious award recognizes the museum’s outstanding contributions to education and community service.

“The Palm Springs Air Museum’s dedication to educating us about the vital role of air power in safeguarding our freedoms is truly inspiring,” said Assemblymember Wallis. “Their extensive educational programs and unwavering commitment to our community are making a significant impact right here in AD 47.”

The Palm Springs Air Museum is one of several nonprofits being honored by state lawmakers around the state for their exceptional contributions to the communities they serve. The museum is dedicated to educating the public about the role of air power in preserving American liberties.

Fred Bell, Vice Chairman of the Palm Springs Air Museum, had this to say about the museum, “We are a fairly unique entity in the Valley. We do 15,000 hours of education work with school kids in the Valley that we provide at no cost.” Bell added, “I think people view us as a community resource, and we’ve never been above stepping in when we had to.”
