Sacramento, CA – The video from Minnesota is deeply troubling. A full and transparent investigation must happen. Not an internal review, but real accountability that the public can trust.
We can have safe communities and constitutional rights at the same time. Americans have the right to peacefully protest. Americans have the right to bear arms. Law enforcement officers deserve to go home safe to their families. And communities deserve protection from dangerous criminals, including those here illegally. Those aren’t competing values – that’s how a free society is supposed to work.
This moment calls for leadership that brings people together, not more division. We need answers and we need accountability.
